VOICE BOX - Mayfield Testing - SHINDIGS.

Someone just appeared in the middle of the hall just as everyone else in the town has and still are, with what is probably an expected reaction to some- there's brief shock on his face, given that he obviously didn't expect this (at least he's dressed), but the fact is he drops the expression swiftly, narrowed green eyes surveying his location, the people around him... Everything.

While perhaps not quite as recognizable to those of his world as he would be, given the clothes he was forced to wear, his hair is likely a dead give-away...

Regardless, it's fairly clear that socializing is not on his mind.

He did watch Conan leave through the crowd- ...He did not likely take his eyes off the kid completely however.

Watch yourself Holmes; Gin's on high alert, even if he doesn't look it. A 'brat' isn't much of a threat. But that same 'brat' knew detectives in his world... And he's willing to bet there's a possibility he knows some minor threats to his well being here too.

[Sherlock is always on high alert, especially with how strange this place is. He's clearly keeping his eye on Gin.]

Shh!

[ Conan glances behind him to see if Gin is watching. He's not exactly sure how well Gin can hear but if he heard Sherlock refer to him as Conan's enemy it could make for an even more uncomfortable confrontation. ]

[ Instead of saying anything out loud though, Conan pulls his notepad from his jacket pocket and quickly scribbles down one three letter word in English. ]

'Gin'

Can't see the notepad, but you're both obviously conversing over SOMETHING in the corner of his eye...

Hnnn...

[Sherlock takes a look then shrugs at Conan: SO?]

[ Conan fights the urge to look over his shoulder again. He can't risk getting caught doing something so suspicious and if Gin is watching and listening in then it's probable that he saw Conan write something on a notepad and show it to Holmes. If he saw Conan acting so secretive he'd probably be able to guess what the note was about and that... that wouldn't end well for anyone. ]

[ There's only one thing he can do. Using the same page he just wrote 'Gin' on, he scribbles another little note: ]

Please tear this page out as quietly and discretely as possible. Will explain later.

[ And hands the notepad to Sherlock. This way, he could draw something else in. If Gin managed to get ahold of the notepad then at least he wouldn't find the page with his codename written on it. ]

Narrowed eyes and a suspicious stare that you won't likely miss; however Gin is no fool. This is a crowd of people, and you could both easily make a scene before he does something himself. ...IF he does something. Let's not jump to quick to getting his hands dirty now... He'd rather be certain of things first.

Still. There's a smirk on his face that's just as hard to miss if your attention is on him. Congratulations Conan- this is beyond mere amusement now.

[Sherlock takes the notebook and shrugs. He then closes it. He's using a trick he learned for removing pages. He hands the notebook back to Conan.]

[What no one sees is that as he handed it back, he tore the page out and slipped it into his pocket.]

[ That taken care of, Conan opens the notepad again and quickly starts to draw a diagram of the room. ]

[ ...Let's see... the banner was here... the Mayor's office was here... Once he's done, he closes it up and puts it back in his jacket pocket. ]

Alright. Drink is done.

And his curiosity can be considered 'caught'. Lets have a 'meet and greet', ahh? With... Proper 'filters', of course.

Time to pretend to be human, 'haha'. When Gin walks over he easily manages to appear at least relatively normal- he has a smile, a casual gait... And while there will never be any hiding the dark pit of darkness you could catch in his eyes, those aware of that pit can at least visibly tell it's less so. Of course, that only makes it all the more terrifying, that the wolf so easily hides among sheep...

"Hello," he begins calmly, facing Sherlock. "I take it you're this boy's 'father'?"

Depends on how you use the term....

[Sherlock didn't know what had Conan so wound up about this guy, but he was going to be wary.]

[ A shiver shoots through Conan and he quickly steps over beside Sherlock and maybe a half inch farther back. He doesn't like having his back to Gin. Not after what happened last time. ]

[ He remains quite though and tries to stay as calm as possible and just.. watch how the conversation progresses. ]

Terrified, wasn't he. Hnhnhn.

Ah well, back to the adult here. "Not literally, I assure you." Who in their right mind would assume they were related any way...

Well, indeed. Not even my own brother would claim me.

[And it's mostly his brother's fault he finds himself in half the problems he does.]

And if not literally, then it doesn't matter who I am. As far as I know, I'm just a boyhood hero. But then, heroes don't exist.

[ This is bad. His nerves are too on edge. If he's not careful he might just give himself away. ]

[ All he has to do is reamin quiet and wait for Gin to get bored and walk off. Once that happens... then he could follow and see if he was up to anything. ]

"Doesn't it? He obviously thinks highly of you." Perhaps a slight glance down at you Conan...

"As it is... I would think the existence of things such as 'heroes' depends on the personal definition of them."

...And in his case? HAHAHAH heroes are as fake as ghosts are.

And I have already offered my opinion on the matter. Is there something you want?

[Because Sherlock's getting bored.]

[ Conan just takes involuntary step backward when Gin glances down at him. What is this? Kudo Shinichi is not some coward and neither is Edogawa Conan. There's no reason for him to be acting like this. ]

[ Sherlock is obviously not intimidated so it's actually pretty embarrassing that he can't stop himself from acting like such a terrified child ]

"Hn. A request that you keep an eye on where he wanders," he lies casually. "He was near the bar earlier."

He knows what these waters are like now- he'll not test them any longer. Keep a cautious act around the adult, that's for certain... And more importantly, keep an eye on them both.

He is allowed to be near the bar, as long as he doesn't partake.

[Pointed look, Conan.]

The question is: why are you so interested in him?

Gin's about to spoil someone's cover.

"If you say so. The fact remains he seems to have been following me since my arrival. Perhaps he's mistaken me for someone." Not likely but still- innocent conversation is held.

"I won't linger any longer here now that the matter is dealt with however- Goodbye." If you don't say any more, he'll turn to leave...

[ He's experienced a feeling like his heart has stopped five times now. It's not exactly a pleasant feeling. He doesn't trust himself to speak at the moment. ]

[ He's not exactly sure what to say that won't arouse suspicion. The less Gin knows about him the better. And talking usually has a way of revealing things. However, he can't ignore the question, that'd be suspicious on it's own. ]

[ He needs to calm down. It isn't the entire organization it's just Gin. ...yeah that's not reassuring at all. Why though? If it were Vermouth he'd probably have gone right up to her and told her something about her wings being clipped. If it had been Bourbon he would have approached him. Hell, even if it was Vodka he may have tried to find some way to approach him. ]

[ ...Maybe it's because Vodka's not as perceptive as Gin and he knew Gin would probably quickly catch on that he was being investigated. But... he doesn't have to organization at his back so really... ]

The milk. [ He finally manages. ]

I-I forgot to warn you it's poisoned. [ Not that he suspected Gin would even use milk in any of his drinks. ]

[That was.... interesting. Sherlock watches Gin leave. He's tempted to say something, but decides not to. Once Gin is out of ear shot, Sherlock looks down at Conan and raises an eyebrow - "Spill it, boy."]

[ Conan's really not sure if Gin is completely out of ear shot. There's no telling with the organization but at least he can be sure they haven't been bugged. Still though, he's not raising his voice much above a whisper. ]

As you guessed, he's with the organization. His code name is Gin, he's the one that-ah-force fed me the poison.

And you went stalking him... why, exactly?

[Sherlock doesn't do bull, Conan.]
